NHL Draft Round 2: How the teams stack up for top pick

The Edmonton Oilers will get their first-round pick in the 2018 NHL Draft.

The Nashville Predators will get theirs in the 2019 NHL Draft and the Calgary Flames will get it in the 2020 NHL Draft, and the Buffalo Sabres will pick at No. 21.

Here are the top-five picks in each round.

The Oilers have three picks, which they can trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Islanders or Vegas Golden Knights.

The Islanders will take the Oilers’ No. 1 overall pick, and Buffalo will take No. 3 overall.

The Leafs will trade with Vegas to move up to pick No. 8 and pick Buffalo’s No. 2 overall pick.

The Flyers will take a fifth-round selection in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
