What to expect from the new Ebbs & Flow app on Apple TV
It’s a new app that promises to be “the ultimate companion to the world’s favorite TV app,” and it promises to bring all the features of the old TV app to the Apple TV.
That includes the ability to stream your favorite shows on-demand and share your favorite moments on Instagram and Facebook.
The app also includes an option to play a single-screen, on-the-go game called Flower Child, which has you trying to find the best flower-themed dessert recipes on Pinterest.
The new app is available on Apple’s app store, Google Play and on the Apple Television.
The feature has already been downloaded more than 200,000 times, according to a post on Apple Insider’s app community.
In an email to Mashable, a company spokesperson said the app was created by a “small team of engineers” and that it will be rolled out in the coming months.
The company did not respond to a request for comment on when the app would be available on the new Apple TV, or how it would be updated with new episodes of popular shows.
It’s unclear if Apple’s new TV app will continue to include popular shows like House of Cards, Arrested Development, and Friends.
For now, the app has to work best on the newest Apple TV model, which starts at $59.99 with a 4K screen and features a 4.7-inch, 2,560-by-1,440-pixel OLED display.
The TV comes with a 13-inch curved screen, a 3.5-megapixel front camera, and support for Siri, Apple TV remote control, and Apple Pencil.
For $100 more, you can get the Apple AirPlay 4K streaming media player.
The AirPlay version of the app also has the ability for users to stream a large library of movies and TV shows directly to their Apple TV from their phone, tablet, or other connected devices.
